Serinda Swan is a
Canadian actress, model and activist who is best known for her roles as Erica
Reed in the A&E series 'Breakout Kings', as Paige Arkin in the USA Network
series 'Graceland', and as Jenny Cooper in the CBC series 'Coroner'. She also
starred as Medusa in Marvel's short-lived series 'Inhumans' and had a recurring
role in the HBO series 'Ballers'. She portrayed Anne Bancroft in one episode of
'Feud: Bette and Joan'. As a child, Serinda Swan often accompanied her
actress mother to the sets and made her first feature film appearance in a
small role in the Ted Danson and Isabella Rossellini film 'Cousins' in 1989, at
the age of three. Director Joel Schumacher had personally chosen her for the
role. In the following years, she continued to appear in commercials for brands
including Milky Way, Much Music, Macy's and Absolute Poker, and was also named
the spokesperson for Absolute Poker. Serinda G. Swan was born on July 11, 1984
in West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and was raised both in West
Vancouver and in the island of Kauai, Hawaii. Her mother was an actress and her
father, Scott Swan, is a theatre director and actor who also runs an acting
studio. She was named after a Tibetan flute. She has Spanish, Scottish, Irish
and English ancestry. She is the younger of two daughters of her parents. Her
sister works as a model. She attended a Waldorf school during her childhood
years and practiced gymnastics for 10 years. She once worked as a waitress at a
restaurant. Spending time in Hawaii as a child, she has become very fond of
surfing. She has a French bulldog named 'Budhdha'.
