American actor
Danielle Riley Keough. 2 Born in Santa Monica (California) to the famous
musicians Lisa Marie Presley & Danny Keough she is the grandchild of
the actress Priscilla Presley, as well as singer Elvis Presley. Keough was
raised by her father in Hawaii, Los Angeles and spent time with her mother in
California. She began modeling at age 15. The appearances she made at Dolce
& Gabbana fashion shows and Christian Dior's cover shoots were just a
few of her many highlights. In her 20s, Keough was cast in a supporting role in
The Runaways (2010) as Marie Currie. Following The Good Doctor (2011) her role
was in Jack & Diane (2012). Prior to that, she was cast in Magic Mike
(2012), she was a minor character in Steven Soderbergh’s comedy film Magic Mike
(2012). Keough was also in a number of independent films in 2012 which included
Yellow and Kiss of the Damned, prior to appearing in the major-budget action
film Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) which was the fourth film in the Mad Max series.
In 2016, Keough had her breakthrough role as a law student-turned-escort in the
first season of the anthology series The Girlfriend Experience,
executive-produced by Soderbergh and based on his 2009 film of the same name.
The film received a lot of praise for her performance and was nominated for the
Golden Globe Award for Best performance by an actress in a Television Limited
Series or Motion Picture. Keough's subsequent performance as an attractive,
young, straight-laced woman in American Honey (2017) won her more acclaim.
Keough was also nominated for an Independent Spirit Award nomination. In the
same year, Keough appeared in the apocalyptic slasher film It Comes at Night
(2017) and then reunited with Soderbergh to play a role in the heist film Logan
Lucky. In 2018, she starred in a number of horror and thriller films, including
Lars Von Trier’s The House That Jack Built and the Neo-Noir Under the Silver
Lake and Hold the Dark. In 2019, Keough starred as the lead in the psychological
horror film The Lodge, followed by another lead role in the comedy-drama Zola
(2020). Keough portrays Sandy Harrison in Netflix’s 2020 release of The Devil
All the Time.
